Hezbollah Official Reiterates Muslim World Support for Palestine
Addressing a ceremony held in Beirut on the occasion of the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian nation, he said the axis of resistance, Arab and Muslim nations, and the noble people of Palestine are the supporters of Palestine.
Sheikh Qassem noted the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the symbol of resistance, backs the Palestinian nation and the cause of Palestine.
He said while the region was moving toward concessions to the Israeli regime in late 1970s and regional countries exerted pressures on Palestinians to abandon resistance against the occupiers, the Islamic Revolution in Iran achieved victory in February 1979 and Iran became a major supporter of Palestine with the establishment of the Islamic Republic.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Hezbollah official said no one should consider the resistance as part of a political structure of one country because Muslims are facing an enemy that has occupied Palestine and also a number of other Arab countries.
“This enemy entered Beirut and was forced to leave only due to resistance,” he added.
Sheikh Qassem went on to say that the Zionist regime is not only the enemy of Palestinians but the enemy of the all Arabs, Muslims and humanity as a whole.
